Description | **Per Addendum 2 the bid date has been extended from 07/13/23 to 07/17/23** Remove existing roof shingles and underlayment complete. Remove existing membrane roofing complete down to roof deck at low slope areas indicated on drawings. Inspect existing roof wood substrates and replace any damaged or rotten sheathing to match thickness of existing. Provide new architectural asphalt roof shingles upon new roofing underlayment. Includes EPDM Membrane Roof and Shingle Roof - both are to be warranted by Prime Contractor. Provide all other work as shown on Drawings, in the Project Manual and as required by codes and the authority having jurisdiction. Contractors will be able to arrange on-site visits on other days to see the exterior of the apartments each week prior to the bid on weekdays Monday-Thursday; however, the Contractor shall provide advance notice (preferably a minimum of 24 or 48-hours in advance of site visits). Advance notice shall be provided to the Owner, Anne Burroughs, by contacting her at anneburr42@aol.com or (843) 423-5242, Ext. 7 (office). Questions that arise from the Site Visits are to be directed to the Architect at bids@stognerarchitecture.com. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond will be required for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Performance and Payment Bond not required if Bid is less than $100,000.00. Project Location: SC 21-1, SC 21-2, SC 21-4, SC 21-5, and SC 21-11. Payment will be made on the basis of ninety percent (90%) of monthly estimates and final payment made upon completion and acceptance of work. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cash deposit or a certified check drawn on some bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, of an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal or in lieu thereof a bidder may offer a bid bond of five percent (5%) of the bid executed by a surety company licensed under the laws of South Carolina and per Section 9 of Form 5369 and individual sureties must be listed on US Treasury Circular Number 570 to execute the contract in accordance with the bid bond and per HUD-5369 Sections 9 and 10. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of Sixty (60) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. |
