Description

**As of August 23 2022, the project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Construction of a new headworks facility at the City's Wastewater Treatment Plant. Project is funded through the State of Michigan Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) In general, the work consists of replacement of the existing pretreatment (headworks) facility. Proposed improvements include the construction of a new headworks facility including, but not limited to a mechanically cleaned bar screen, washer compacter, tray-style grit removal system, grit pumps and grit classifier, ionization MAU, concrete channels, stop plates, electrical equipment, instrumentation, and appurtenances in an insulated block building. Additional improvements include a dumpster/reserve septage uploading pad, abandonment of the existing pretreatment building, and various sitework and restoration items. Copies of the Bidding Documents may be examined at the Owner's office listed above or the issuing office, without charge. Technical questions regarding the project should be e-mailed to the Project Manager, Aaron J Davenport, PE, adavenport@jheng.com at Jones & Henry Engineers, Ltd. Bids must be submitted on the forms bound herein, must contain the names of every person or company interested therein, and shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the amount bid with satisfactory corporate surety, subject to conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance Bond and Maintenance and Guarantee Bond in the amount of 100% of the Bid, and Labor and Material Bond in the amount of 50% of the Bid. Any Bid may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids, but no bidder shall withdraw his Bid within 30 days after the actual opening thereof. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, waive irregularities in any Bid, and to accept any Bid which is deemed most favorable to the Owner.
