Description | Citrus County, Florida ( County ) invites interested parties to submit a Bid for the Aids to Navigation- Installation and Repair Services within the Citrus County Waterways. The work covered by these specifications consists of furnishing all labor and equipment, hardware, wood and pipe pilings, reflective tape, piling caps, chains, shackles and anchors necessary to maintain, repair, replace, install, or remove any navigational aid, new or existing, in and on the waterways in Citrus County. New and replacement signs or buoys will be furnished by the County. Existing navigational aids are located in or on the following waterways: Crystal River Indian Waters Homosassa River Price Creek Halls River Fish Creek Chassahowitzka River Lake Rousseau Withlacoochee River Lower Withlacoochee River Tsala Apopka Chain of Lakes Gulf of Mexico Barge Canal Ozello Salt River An assignment for the installation of completely new navigational aids is NOT limited to the above list. New installations may be assigned in any waterway within geographical boundaries of Citrus County. Waterway maps depicting the locations, type and number of existing navigational aids for each waterway can be viewed at the Aquatic Services Division office, located at 1300 South Lecanto Highway, Lecanto, Florida, during normal business hours. It is difficult to determine what aid installation and/or maintenance needs will be required during the year due to factors that are outside our control (i.e., stolen or damaged signs and pilings, etc.). To ensure that boaters are always aware of what is expected of them on the water, and to ensure the protection we intend, it is important for damaged and deteriorated signs to be replaced as quickly as possible after the need is identified. Minimum Requirements for Submitting a Bid Certified or Registered licensed General or Builder Contractor or Marine Contractor Pollution Liability Insurance or Watercraft Liability with NO pollution exclusion US Longshoremen & Harbor Workers Insurance Any person requiring reasonable accommodation at this meeting because of a disability or physical impairment should contact the County Administrators Office, (352) 527-5210, at least two days before the meeting.
