Description

The work to be performed under this Project includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: For additional information, please view the associated Project Drawings and Summary of Work. 1. The Galloway Campus Wide Fiber Optic Connection Project consists of construction of an underground conduit duct banks connecting the existing Data Equipment Shed located on at the intersection of Louisville Avenue and Delaware Avenue located on Campus to the various locations throughout the campus, using existing and proposed fiber optic duct banks throughout the campus grounds and buildings. 2. The fiber optic conduit duct bank is approximately 20,800 +/- feet in length and consists of new two 4-inch diameter nonconductive electrical conduit installed throughout the campus grounds. Fiber optic will also be installed within existing campus data conduit network through the campus grounds and within existing campus buildings. 3. In addition to adding the proposed campus fiber a backup electrical supply generator will be installed to the existing Equipment Shed located at the intersection of Louisville Avenue and Delaware Avenue. 4. The project area is the entirety of the campus, running conduit and fiber optic runs along existing campus roadways, parking areas, wooded areas, county roadway areas, and within existing buildings. 5. Access to the work area will be via the existing campus road and parking lot network. Site work includes, but not limited to, soil erosion and sediment control measures, site clearing, grading, trenching, bituminous and concrete surface removal and restoration, backup power installation to the existing Equipment Shed, limited building demolition, building ceiling restoration, and specialized electrical and data connections, terminations and testing. o Vendors shall follow the instructions contained in this IFB in preparing and submitting a response. Failure to abide by the instructions may cause the submission to be deemed non-responsive and may be cause for rejection. o The Required Forms, Addenda, Questions and Answers, and all other related items can be accessed by logging into the Office of Procurement & Contracting Vendor Portal. The University will send email notifications pertaining to all addenda as related to this IFB to registered users.
