Description | Installation of a new Building Automation System (BAS) at the San Antonio, TX Area District Office. Contractor will provide all equipment, labor, materials and any needed rental equipment to remove, replace and dispose of the existing Building Automation System (BAS). The existing components are listed below: (see extent of new work below, everything demolished will be replaced under this contract) 1. Twenty-six (26) zone control systems on an existing Variable Air Volume (VAV) system. 2. Control wiring to existing 50 ton Roof Top Unit (RTU). 2. Contractor will provide and install: • Twenty-six (26) zone damper actuators, supply air sensors, and room sensors as indicated in the associated specification Section 23 09 00 – Building Automation System. • One (1) new Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) to control the blower motor in the RTU. • Control wiring to existing 50 ton RTU. • Connection to DPS Statewide BAS. • Interactive color graphics. • Latest version of software. • Interface to existing local BAS. • Hardware and any other miscellaneous materials needed for a fully functional system – see specification Section 23 09 00- Building Automation System. 3. The Contractor will provide all needed power and power connections for this project. • The Contractor will provide and install any needed control transformers. • The Contractor will provide any main power electrical needed to power control transformers. • The Contractor is to verify all conduit will be of sufficient size to comply with National Electric Code (NEC) standard for the size wire needed to comply with the Minimum Circuit Ampacity (MCA) of the new controls. 4. All control wiring will be replaced. 5. System commissioning – see Section 01 91 00 – General Commissioning Requirements. 6. Contractor will provide start-up, and warranty on materials & labor. 7. Contractor will provide an independent certified Test and Balance Company to perform a Associated Air Balance Council (AABC) or National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB) certified test of the systems. See Section 23 05 93 – Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing for Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) for requirements. Provide this report to DPS for approval. |
