Improve Airport Drainage - Phase II

This project is to stabilize an area of the hillside instability adjacent to the maintenance area at the Yeager Airport by installation of a soil nail retaining wall. The hillside soils adjacent to the Airport underground main power feed and communication feeds have been failing with the potential to impact these facilities along with the security fence. The project along with the soil nail retaining wall includes the installation of uphill drainage improvements consisting of bituminous wedge curbing, storm inlets, storm pipes, subsurface drains, collect existing drainage outfalls and convey the storm drainage via a pipe down the slope to an existing drainage channel. The project includes surface restoration of disturbed pavement areas and revegetation of disturbed soil areas. Erosion and Sedimentation BMPs are required to control erosion and sediment laden runoff.
