Description | Signalization, roadway widening, and related roadway improvements to the intersection of Woodbourne Road at Swift Road and Lower Silver Lake Road in Middletown Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The scope of work generally includes traffic signal improvements, roadway improvements, sidewalk installation, and other construction elements associated with traffic signal coordination. The bid will be for furnishing all labor, materials, supervision, and services associated with the Roadway Improvements for Woodbourne Road Project. Bids will have a tentative award date of August 15, 2022. Bids are to be submitted on the forms furnished in the bid package. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bidder's bond, certified check or cashier's check, in favor of Middletown Township in the amount of not less than 10% of the total amount of the bid. The successful bidder shall be bound to furnish and pay for a Performance Bond and a Labor & Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, on bond forms provided by Middletown Township. A Virtual Pre-Bid Meeting will not be held. All bidders must be PennDOT pre-qualified and must complete a non-collusion affidavit. This contract is in accordance with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, and the successful bidder shall pay no less than the Wage Rates determined for the project as stated in the Contract documents. There is a zero percent (0%) requirement for MBE and/or WBE participation. Award of the Contract, if the contract is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, however Middletown Township reserves the right to reject any and or all bids on any basis and to waive any informality in the bidding, as permitted by law. No bidder may withdraw a bid after the actual date of the opening thereof. Bidders must submit with their bids, the non-collusion affidavit contained in the contract documents. |
