Commander Landing Boardwalk Improvements

The proposed work includes the construction of a new gravel parking lot, sidewalks, porta potty restroom, overnight camping pavilion, timber boardwalks, picnic pavilion, and a new floating dock with ADA kayak loading station. The project also includes the construction of an electrical meter and lines to provide power to the new camping shelter. The project consists of constructing an approximately 6 feet by 225 feet boardwalk over wetlands, including a 21 feet by 6 feet catwalk and an 8 feet by 12 feet kayak and canoe storage area, a 6 feet by 48 feet access pier, an approximately 18 feet by 18 feet terminal platform, two 6 feet by 14 feet catwalks, and an approximately 6 feet by 12 feet kayak and canoe launch slip within Choctawhatchee River.
