Bridge & Highway Rail Upgrades for BIN 3328930 - Braley Road over E. Branch Twelve Mile Creek

Notice is hereby given that the County of Niagara will accept bids for Bridge & Highway Rail Upgrades for BIN 3328930 - Braley Road over E. Branch Twelve Mile Creek, Niagara County. The work will include removal of existing bridge rail and highway guide rail, replacement of concrete fascias and installation of new bridge rail and highway guiderail. This project is a Locally Funded Project. The project estimate is $122,000-$172,000 Questions can be submitted in writing to Niagara County Purchasing Department,59 Park Avenue, Lockport, New York 14094, or emailed to Norman D. Allen, PE, norman.allen@niagaracounty.com and must be received by 4:00 PM on July 14, 2023. Only written Requests for Information (RFIs) will be accepted. The questions received and all answers will be sent to all in receipt of the bid documents no later than 4:00 PM on July 17, 2023. If necessary, an Addendum to the Bidding Documents will be issued. Each Bidder shall include a bid security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid in the form a Bid Bond, certified check, bank cashier's check, or an irrevocable standby letter of credit from a bank, and subject to the conditions provided in the section titled "IMPORTANT BIDDER INFORMATION". All bids must be accompanied by a fully executed Non-Collusion Certification. By entering into this Agreement, the Contractor certifies in accordance with State Finance Law 165-a that it is not on the "Entities Determined to be Non-Responsive Bidders/ Offerers pursuant to New York State Iran Divestment Act of 2012." Niagara County, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Non discrimination in Federally-assisted programs of the Department of Transportation and Title 23 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 200, Title VI Program and Related Statutes, as amended, issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notify all who respond to a written solicitation, request for proposal or invitation for bid, that they will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability/handicap and income status in consideration for an award.
