Description Temporary repairs to RTU (Rooftop Air Handling Unit)#2 at Gordon Elementary School. The existing RTU Unit is one of four (4) RTU’s serving this school. This RTU is a 110-ton McQuay packaged variable air volume air handler & 110-ton condensing unit. 1.Recover and store existing refrigerant 2.Pressure test each circuit with nitrogen to locate any existing leaks. 3.Repair all current known refrigerant leaks on each refrigerant circuit. 4.Replace the liquid line core driers on each circuit. 5.Evacuate each circuit with the recovered refrigerant as well as any additional new refrigerant to complete the refrigerant charge. 6.Charge each circuit with the recovered refrigerant (# 1 above), add new refrigerant if necessary to complete the refrigerant charge. 7.Tag all wiring associated with the obsolete discharge air controller. 8.Remove the obsolete controller and associated sensors. 9.Install a new discharge controller with new supply air sensor. 10.Reconnect wiring for control of the mechanical cooling
