Carpenters Brook Fish Hatchery Building Replacement - Onondaga County

This project provides for replacement of the carpenters brook hatchery, diet, oil storage, and office buildings, with a single more efficient building. The project also includes necessary repairs and upgrades to related fish rearing facilities. This project is included in the county's FY 2023-2028 Capital Improvement Program. As of November 29, 2022, in Fall 2023 the city intend to seek legislative authorization for $120,000. These funds will be used for Engineering, in 2024 the city will hire an architect/engineering firm to design the new hatchery building, with construction slated to begin in 2025. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
