Description

This request is for a contract to furnish all material, equipment, supplies, and labor necessary to replace the metal roof and to repair and seal the logs on the Sherwood House. Description of Demolition or Associated Work Demolition- properly dispose of all debris off-property unless otherwise noted. Roof- Remove old metal roofing and trim. Remove 3 skylights and install like kind decking. Remove any rotted or insect damaged roof decking. Log siding- remove all rotted and insect damaged siding New Work Roof-Replace any rotted or insect damaged decking with like material. For bidding, allow for 250 square feet. Install new in kind decking where skylights have been removed. Install synthetic felt over decking. Provide and install new 5-rib, 26 gauge metal roofing with ridge vents and vented eaves. Replace all trim with new matching color trim; screws shall also be color matched. New synthetic felt shall be installed on decking. Provide and install step flashing on all chimneys and install cricket on all chimneys not located on the peak. Any damaged or rotted soffit or fascia boards shall be replaced with like kind material. Siding- Any rotted or insect damaged siding shall be replaced with new like siding. This shall include any trim boards. All trim boards and seams shall be caulked. Areas around doors and windows shall be sealed to prevent bats from entering. The entire exterior shall be pressure washed to remove any loose material and/or foreign substances. The exterior shall be allowed to dry; then it shall be resealed with 2 coats of weatherproof sealer with BugJuice added per manufacturer's recommendations. The sealer shall be Ready-Seal, Flood, or equal. All old metal roofing shall be stacked on site for the park to use or dispose of. Invoice shall be submitted for payment within 10 days of project completion.
