Description | For Talman Elementary - Fire Alarm System (Various Trades Pool or Category A Over $1.5M or Category B Under $1.5M General Contractors Pool) - B Specification #: (Type of Project: MCR, ROF, MEP, etc.) - FAS Construction: (Various Trades Pool = O & M General Contractors Pool = Capital) - Capital PAYMENT AND PERFORMANCE BOND: 100% of the Base Contract Price One (1) original and two (2) copies of the bid solicitation are to be submitted. Original signature sets to be sworn to before a notary public. A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Bid price is required. Printed copies/sets of the Bidding Documents will not be provided by the Architect of Record to any Bidding Contractor. Gubernatorial Disaster Proclamation pursuant to COVID-19 Executive Order No. 13: Beginning Wednesday, April 1, 2020, CPS will begin accepting electronic bids for construction projects. Links to specific projects can be found in the bid documents located on the CPS Procurement Website. Vendors will need to re-download the bid documents in order to get this link. CPS will also accept paper bid submissions for bids for construction projects on April 1, 2020, and April 2, 2020 so that vendors have time to communicate this update to their team. During this time, in order to ensure the safety and well-being of our staff and suppliers, CPS will not be conducting in-person bid readings; however, all bid readings will be available for public viewing by livestream at 2pm via Google Hangouts link provided by CPS Procurement. Beginning Tuesday, April 7, 2020, and for the duration of the Gubernatorial Disaster Proclamation, CPS will ONLY be utilizing electronic bids for construction projects. Submissions will be through Bonfire only. Electronic bids will still be due at 2pm on the date advertised in the Bid solicitation. Each bid reading will be streamed via Google Hangouts link. As of June 5, 2020, Illinois School Code has been signed into Law to allow for accepting of electronic bidding. Effective immediately, vendors will no longer need to mail in, or drop off, their paper submissions with original signatures and seals. We thank you for your flexibility in this matter.
