Description

As of January 6, 2023, a construction manager has been selected and this project is in the planning/design phase. Information regarding an architect has not been released. Construction is expected to begin in May of 2026 and be complete in July of 2028. Bond fund $598 million of work over 30 years PARK HIGH SCHOOL The referendum would provide the funding needed to make the following improvements at Park: SAFETY & SECURITY: • Replace fire alarm systems • Replace elevator and add stairway railings • Update for ADA-compliant access • Install emergency backup generator ACADEMY LEARNING SPACES: • Right-size 13 small classrooms (under 700 sq ft) • Repurpose existing Art rooms into Special Education and Childcare spaces • Create new Culinary Arts and Business Café • Renovate Science, Manufacturing and JROTC spaces, as well as Administrative Offices NEW ADDITIONS: • Renovate pool area for two-story classroom wing for Arts and Science • Add new athletic team room on lower level of Fieldhouse • Create new CNA and Health classrooms INFRASTRUCTURE: • Refresh building interiors (LED lighting, flooring, ceilings, casework, paint walls) • Address building maintenance (doors, HVAC updates, exterior stone and masonry, roofing, retro-commissioning) • Expand parking • Add air conditioning The 2020 bond referendum was passed and approved by the voters on April 7, 2020.
