Renovation and Expansion of the Casa De Amigo Clinic

The scope includes - demolition, concrete, masonry, steel, millwork, roofing, waterproofing, openings, finishes, specialties, fire sprinklers, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and associated sitework for - a 28,000 square foot expansion and renovation of the existing single-story clinic consisting of patient exam rooms, support spaces, relocation of existing pharmacy, and expansion to accommodate a new pediatric and women's services. Construction will take place in 3 phases while the building is occupied. The project consists of the expansion and renovation of the existing single-story clinic at 1615 North Main Street in Houston, Texas to improve patient care. The existing areas to be renovated include approximately 23,000 square feet of patient exam rooms and support spaces. An expansion of approximately 3,500 square feet will accommodate the relocation of the existing pharmacy; another expansion of approximately 1,500 square feet will accommodate new pediatric and women’s services. The design will comply will all the latest requirements and authorities having jurisdiction as adopted by the Harris Health System. Mechanical: Replacement of existing roof top units with variable air volume direct expansion (DX) rooftop system and terminal air units with electrical reheat as well as new ductwork and fixtures throughout renovation area. Plumbing: Relocation of the domestic water main entering the building, new domestic water piping within the building to serve relocated and new fixtures, and repair and or cleaning of existing systems and piping. Plumbing will also include relocation of the natural gas line, new deionized water system for the pharmacy, and renovations to the sprinkler piping and associated fire protection systems. Electrical: The replacement of the existing service equipment, including the service lateral from the Centerpoint Energy service pole, CT and metering cabinets, service distribution panel and sub-panels. Renovation will include new LED lighting, lighting controls, and fire alarm system.
