Lee County Board of County Commissioners seeks to contract with a qualified Contractor to provide milling and resurfacing improvements to various roads within Lee County, Florida. Work shall include, but not be limited to; milling, resurfacing, restriping, ADA upgrades and minor signal work to accommodate ADA upgrades. Lilia Davis Ldavis2@leegov.com GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK SUMMARY 1.1 Lee County Board of County Commissioners seeks to contract with a qualified Contractor to provide milling and resurfacing improvements to various roads within Lee County, Florida. Work shall include, but not be limited to; milling, resurfacing, restriping, ADA upgrades and minor signal work to accommodate ADA upgrades. 1.2 All work performed is to follow Federal, State, Local, OSHA, and County mandated regulations and specifications for associated work. 1.3 Contractor(s) shall review the list of roads and all drawings detailing work to be performed under this solicitation. 1.4 The scope of work is further defined and detailed within Exhibits E-O found attached to the draft contract agreement affixed to this solicitation package as well as within the plans associated with this project. Contractor is responsible for reviewing all documentation associated with this project. 2. DESCRIPTION OF WORK AND LOCATIONS 2.1 The work on this contract consists of approximately the following: 2.1.1 Clipping edges of pavement. 2.1.2 A key cut 1.5 inch in depth beveled 3-5 ft will be required to obtain a smooth tie in for the following: a. When paving street and an intersecting side street that is not called out to be paved. b. At all locations that will tie into existing pavement. No feathered joints. c. At driveways as needed. 2.1.3 All roads shall be tacked and receive a 1.5" (165lbs) avg overlay of Superpave 9.5 traffic lvl C 2.1.4 Any potholes or depressions shall be filled and compacted prior to paving the roadway. 2.1.5 Resurfacing of selected roadways listed (see attachment A). 2.1.6 Edges to be dress up with no material left piled up or in windrows. 2.1.7 Drop offs of 3 inches or greater shall have embankment placed for the public safety. 2.1.8 Restoration of existing pavement markings or as directed. 2.1.9 Driveways shall be cleaned of debris after the paving operation have been completed. 2.1.10 Temp paint is incidental to the Thermoplastic installation per FDOT specifications. 2.1.11 Manholes and valve boxes may be adjusted with Metal rings as needed. 2.1.12 Millings from this project shall be property of the winning bidder.
