Description

The work consists of three separate projects but collectively funded by a joint effort between Yavapai County and The Town of Prescott Valley governed by an intergovernmental agreement (IGA). The roadway improvement projects will provide increased capacity at three intersections along State Route 89A (SR 89A) in Prescott Valley: Viewpoint Dr. Northbound Additional Lane (SR89A to Pronghorn Ranch Parkway) Project – CIP# S439; Coyote Springs Road 3rd Lane Widening – CIP# S460; Glassford Hill Road Free Flow Right – CIP# S458. The work consists of three separate projects but collectively funded by a joint effort between Yavapai County and The Town of Prescott Valley governed by an intergovernmental agreement (IGA). The roadway improvement projects will provide increased capacity at three intersections along State Route 89A (SR 89A) in Prescott Valley; Viewpoint Drive, Coyote Springs Road, and Glassford Hill Road, further described as follows: Viewpoint Drive Northbound Additional Lane Project – CIP S439: The work consists of adding a second northbound Viewpoint Drive lane between SR 89A and Pronghorn Ranch Parkway. The project includes additional embankment and the placement of 680 sy of asphaltic pavement. Coyote Springs Road Widening Project – CIP S460: The work consists of widening Coyote Springs Road to a full three lanes between SR 89A and Antelope Meadows Drive, and placing an asphaltic pavement overlay. The project includes the removal of the existing cattleguard and 100 sy of pavement and replace with 200 sy of roadway base and asphaltic pavement with an additional 3400 sy of asphaltic pavement overlay and a new cattle guard. Glassford Hill Road - Free-Flow Right Project, CIP S458: The work consists of removing the traffic signal pole and return at the southwest corner of SR 89A eastbound ramp at Glassford Hill Road in Prescott Valley, Arizona, and replacing them with new traffic signal equipment furnished by the Town and new island to direct southbound traffic onto Glassford Hill Road into a continuous third lane to the intersection of Tuscany Way North. The project includes the removal of 830 sy of existing asphalt pavement and replace with 4320 sy of new asphalt pavement along with 300 lf of storm drain, 2600 lf of curb, 12,800 sf of sidewalk, and 300 feet of guardrail.
