RFQ D/B - Conference Room Enhancement, Statewide, Department of Administration (ADM), Southwest, Southeast and North, Idaho Regions

The purpose of this project is to enhance audiovisual equipment in conference and hearing rooms throughout state-managed buildings. It is likely that not all the rooms on our initial list will be able to be included in this work. The selected team will be expected to thoroughly inventory existing conditions and meet with appropriate agencies regarding needs. A priority list will then be established. The Design-Build team will be responsible for the design and installation of the equipment, including finish work affected by the improvements. Stamped and signed drawings will be expected to be submitted for approval. All equipment necessary, including, but not limited to, speakers, software, cameras, large or small presentation monitors and any necessary wiring needed to control A/V system, to meet the requirements of these enhancements will be the responsibility of the Design-Build team. A contractor should be able to provide continued maintenance and support of the selected A/V system. The project construction will take place during summer 2023. There will be no informational meeting and site visits are not being provided. Funding for the project is from the State. The Division of Public Works (DPW) will administer the project according to the terms and conditions of the award, State laws and guidelines. The Design- Build team will receive general instructions through the State. A Project Manager from DPW will be assigned to serve as project manager and liaison between the Department of Administration, the Agency, and the Design-Build team. All site investigation shall be at no cost to owner. The Design-Build team shall warrant the following: not knowingly hire or engage any illegal aliens or persons not authorized to work in the United States as required by Title 67, Chapter 79, Idaho Code. The Design-Build team shall take steps to verify that it does not hire or engage any illegal aliens or persons not authorized to work in the United States; and that any misrepresentation in this regard or any employment of persons not authorized to work in the United States constitutes a material breach and shall be cause for the imposition of monetary penalties and/or termination of any Contract resulting from this RFQ. The Design-Build team is required to provide Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, approvals by authorities having jurisdiction, and Construction Administration. The design team members shall be licensed to practice in the State of Idaho for their specific disciplines. The Design-Build team shall make a minimum of one (1) presentation to the Permanent Building Fund Advisory Council and shall keep in mind that during all phases, code compliance, energy efficiency, and building maintenance concerns should be incorporated into the design.
