RFP Design - Dry Floodproofing Islamorada Fire Station 20, New Safe Room, and Generator Enclosure

Islamorada, Village of Islands, will receive formal proposals for Design and Engineering services for a project to dry flood proof the Fire Station 20 building, a newly constructed Safe Room building, and generator enclosure. To be eligible for selection consideration, a submittal package must contain all documentation detailed in Section VII of this document. Submit one (1) original printed package, three (3) printed copies, and one (1) electronic copy provided by email attachment or cloud storage link. It is the sole responsibility of the contractor to ensure that their submittal is received in a timely manner. Any proposal package submitted past the deadline and/or submitted to other locations or offices may be deemed non-responsive and may be rejected. 1. Prepare design and engineering plans for flood proofing the Fire Station 20 building, the new Safe Room building, and generator enclosure to provide protection against a 500-year flood event as more fully described in Section V of this document and the FEMA NFIP Technical Bulletin provided. 2. Prepare scope of work for installation of flood proofing on Fire Station 20, the new Safe Room building, and generator enclosure to be utilized in bid documents for the project. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
