Description

A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Cost Estimate $1,000,000 - $1,200,000 Base Bid: Work includes furnishing all the labor, materials, and equipment for construction of a water supply and distribution mains; air release assembly; existing chlorination building removal and demolition; new chlorination building with site and building concrete work, masonry block construction, process piping, mechanical and electrical equipment, valves, hydrants, & appurtenances, automated chlorine gas equipment, chlorine booster pump; a new flow control valve vault; excavation, backfilling, and grading; rock excavation; gravel surfacing; grass seeding; erosion control; water supply well metering vaults; electrical and telemetry improvements; abandonment or existing water mains; existing concrete removal; existing metering vault abandonment/removal; traffic control; and all other incidental and appurtenant work required to complete the improvements as shown and specified. Alternate No. 1: Addition of ammonium sulfate chemical feed system including but not limited to the storage tank, containment, injection pump, table, chemical scale, and all other incidental and appurtenant work required to complete the improvements as shown and specified. Alternate No. 2: Addition of telemetry improvements/upgrades in order to implement flow monitoring at each individual public water supply well (3 locations). Improvements include conduits and cables from the proposed meter vaults to the existing telemetry panels, connection to existing flow meter, modifications of existing telemetry panels, programming for remote monitoring and alarming, supplying of any pre-negotiated telemetry equipment, start-up, testing, documentation and training, associated electrical appurtenances and all other incidental and appurtenant work required to complete the improvements as shown and specified. Attention to bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and Federal prevailing wage rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3 of the 1968 Housing Act, Segregated Facility. Section 109 of the 1984 Housing and Community Development Act and Executive Order 11246 and the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the presidents Executive Order No. 11246 (Equal Employment Opportunity) as amended. Requirements for bidders and contractors under this order are explained in the specifications. Bidders must fully comply with Subpart C of 2 CFR Part 180 and 2 CFR Part 1532, entitled Responsibilities of Participants Regarding Transactions.
