Description

The City of Rocky Mount is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to construct a temporary parking pad on the subject site by recycling existing concrete pads noted on the project plans and importing additional recycled concrete, CABC and owner stockpiled Full Dept Reclamation material located at 1221 Thorpe Rd. The vendor awarded the contract shall be responsible for all labor, transportation, and insurance needed to perform the project in a safe and workmanlike manner for acceptance by the City of Rocky Mount. The contract requirements to be performed by the Company awarded the contract shall include but not be limited to the following: 1. Crush and recycle existing concrete pads for use as aggregate base for temporary parking 2. Import, install, grade and compact imported material to provide uniform base for aggregate surface course. 3. Install, grade and compact 4-inch aggregate surface course in designated areas utilizing aggregate from recycled concrete pads and imported recycled concrete or CABC. 4. Any damage(s) caused by the Company awarded the contract while performing the contract requirements shall be the sole responsibility of the Company and shall be remedied by the Company before payment is rendered by the City. 5. The Company awarded the contract will be representing the City of Rocky Mount and shall always display a professional appearance. Contractors will enter "RFP #320-270922TJ - Questions" as the subject for the email. The purpose of this visit is for all prospective Contractors to apprise themselves with the conditions and requirements which will affect the performance of the work called for by this Request for Proposals. Contractors must stay for the duration of the site visit. No allowances will be made for unreported conditions that a prudent Contractor would recognize as affecting the work called for or implied by this proposal. All RFP responses shall be received by the date and time noted in the schedule on page 4. RFP responses may be sent via US Mail, FedEx, UPS, or hand delivered.
