Description

The Work included under this scope consists of providing Roofing Repair and Replacement Services and Emergency Roof Repairs and Replacement for Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA) Facilities. This includes but is not limited to: assessments, recommendations for repairs or new roofing systems, budget development, removal of existing roofing systems and installation of repairs or new roofing systems and warranty services as further defined in the Scope of Work listed below. Facilities requiring this scope of work include but are not limited to: Main Office Building (MOB) 735 Randolph Detroit Central Services Facility (CSF) 6425 Huber Detroit Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF) 9300 W. Jefferson Detroit Water Works Park Plant 10100 East Jefferson Detroit Springwells Plant 8300 West Warren Dearborn Southwest Plant 14700 Moran Allen Park Northeast Plant 11000 E. Eight Mile Detroit Lake Huron Plant 3993 Metcalf Road Fort Gratiot. The Roofing Contractor shall provide all permitting, labor, material, equipment, and incidentals including tools, supplies, transportation, insurance, bonds and supervision to rehabilitate GLWA owned facilities throughout Southeastern Michigan. GLWA is seeking the services of an experienced and qualified Roofing Contractor to provide the following services for the rehabilitation/ replacement of deteriorated roof systems. The Work included under this scope consists of: Assessment - of roof leaks, condition of roof, areas of deterioration, testing of roofing systems (membrane, insulation, sheathing, flashing, coping, drainage) Recommendations - for patch, repair or replacement, type of roofing systems recommended, historically sensitive repairs and replacements Budget Development - for the preferred recommendations Construction - demolition, tear offs, preparing substrate, replacing substrate as needed, insulation, expansion joints, lifting HVAC and other equipment, staging, scaffolding, patching, re-coating, partial or full replacement, installation of walkway pads, flashing, gutters, scuppers, downspouts, expansion joints and cleanup of repairs/replacement Warranty Services – providing manuals, maintenance program and warranties. GLWA facilities consist of many different building types and roofing systems: 1. Modified Bitumen 2. Built-up multi-ply with gravel (Asphaltic and Coal Tar) 3. Asphalt Shingle 4. Single Ply Mechanically Fastened (PVC and EPDM) 5. Tile 6. Metal Standing Seam 7. Including: Flashing, Coping, Gutters, Downspouts, Scupper Boxes and Expansion Joints (varying materials)
