A/E Services Renovate Rend Lake Resort Facilities

Wayne Fitzgerrell State Park, 84-building facility. Renovation and modernization of existing Rend Lake Resort facilities. Typical renovations will include new roofing, flooring, interior wall and ceiling surfaces, exterior surfaces, windows, doors, bathroom and kitchen fixtures, appliances, HVAC systems including dehumidification, banquet facilities and furniture. During this phase of the renovation, work will focus on the duplex cabins, the Schooner and Flagship Boatels, the banquet facilities within the conference center, the restaurant and gift shop. The A/E will need to perform mechanical tests on all HVAC systems, fire alarm systems, security systems and fire suppression systems to ensure that they comply with current code requirments. Microbial testing and possible environmental remediation will also be required to verify that the structures are free of microbial contamination. The two remaining boatels will also require a structural assessment to identify any potential structural deficiencies. All renovation work will need to comply with the 2018 Illinois Accessibility Code. The A/E will need to determine if any components of this project are eligible for a utility company or other energy grant/rebate and will be responsible for preparing and submitting the grant application if the project qualifies for the rebate. The interviews for this project are tentatively scheduled for September 30, 2020.
