| Description | Electric utility excavation including emergency excavation services and as-needed construction services within the RMLD properties and service territory. This includes the towns of Reading, Wilmington, North Reading, and Lynnfield Center. Services required include, but are not limited to: Excavation and repair of existing underground electric cables (energized up to 15,000 Volts A.C.), duct banks, fiber optic cables, manholes, enclosures, handholes, and other underground infrastructures; Asphalt paving and berm; Masonry and concrete; Backfill and restoration of areas disturbed by other department related work; Excavation for pole setting that RMLD is unable to excavate with its trucks; Other various labor tasks shall be provided when required. |
