2022 Pavement Rejuvenation Program

As of 7/25/2022 no award has been made. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. The City of Crystal Lake Procurement Services, and its service provider BidSync, are the only authorized sources of bidding information. The City of Crystal Lake, Illinois seek a qualified contractor for pavement rejuvenation services. The quantity of work will be based on prices submitted and available funding, and will be determined solely at the discretion of the City. The information contained in the General Conditions section of this contract shall govern the proposed improvement. The work contemplated by these specifications shall be under the direction of the Engineer. A majority of the selected roads shall be residential streets with low speeds and low traffic volumes, however some collectors and arterials may be included. A final location map of will be given to the Contractor prior to beginning construction. All preliminary locations were resurfaced between 2 and 3 years ago. The quantity and locations of work shall be determined by the City based on pricing and available funding. This work shall consist of furnishing all labor, material, and equipment necessary to perform all operations for application of an asphalt rejuvenating agent to asphaltic surface courses. All sections described below shall be considered incidental to ASPHALT REJUVENATION. The rejuvenation product shall be spray applied and be opened to traffic within 4 hours. The base bid product shall be a rejuvenating agent composed of petroleum or bio-based oils emulsified with water. The contractor shall have prior project experience using the proposed rejuvenating agent.
