2019 Roadway Paving and Reconstruction Project Phase I

Project generally consists of concrete, roadway paving / reconstruction and utility improvements, where applicable; to Oakwood Drive, Scheid Drive, Lewandoski Place, Rosinski Place and Czaplinski Place located within the Borough of Sayreville. The work involved with these improvements includes the maintenance and protection of traffic; cutting and removal of existing trees, installation of new street trees; installation of approximately 210 lineal feet +/- of 12" RCP of Class V storm sewer pipe reaches; construction of approximately 9 +/- of new storm sewer inlet structures of various types; repair and reconstruction of approximately 23 +/- of existing storm sewer inlet structures; extending existing roof leader drains to new curb; installation of new 6" MJ gate valve to existing water main; removal and replacement of existing fire hydrants including connections to existing pipe runouts; removal and replacement of approximately 105 +/- of existing water service curb boxes; removal and replacement of existing deteriorated sanitary sewer manhole castings; resetting of existing sanitary sewer manhole castings; removal of approximately 13,000 lineal feet +/- of various types of existing concrete curbs; removal of approximately 25,000 square feet +/- of various types of concrete sidewalks, driveways and/or aprons; construction of approximately 13,000 lineal feet +/- of new standard Borough concrete curb, approximately 14,000 square feet +/- of new standard Borough concrete sidewalk and approximately 11,000 square feet +/- of new standard Borough reinforced concrete driveways and aprons; furnishing and installation of cast-in-place handicapped sidewalk ramp delineation; restoration of hot mix asphalt driveways; roadway milling of approximately 7,000 square yards +/- of existing asphalt pavement; crack / joint preparation and furnish / installation of joint sealer, if and where ordered; cutting / removal of approximately 18,500 square yards +/- of existing roadway asphalt pavement; the installation of dense graded aggregate base course, if and where ordered; installation of approximately 3,500 tons +/- of hot mix asphalt base course material, resurfacing the entire roadways with approximately 2,500 tons +/- of hot mix asphalt surface course material; application of pavement stripes / markings (lines and symbols); furnishing and installation of topsoil and sod; right-of-way restoration; and all other preparation, restoration and associated work in accordance with the Contract Documents
