Description | The library’s primary project goals include voluntary seismic retrofit, accessibility improvements, electrification of the building, expansion of public programming, and meeting LEED Gold Certification. Functional program improvements include renovation of staff and service spaces on the main and lower levels. The project is scheduled to appear before the City of Seattle Landmarks Preservation Board on June 16, 2023. An architect has been selected.
