Marilla Park Streambank Restoration Project

Friends of Deckers Creek is seeking bids for the CONSTRUCTION of the Marilla Park Streambank Restoration Project in Morgantown, WV. Bidders must attend a MANDATORY pre- bid meeting at the site on August 14, 2023 at 9:00AM. Bids must be received by August 28, 5:00PM (ET). Email submissions are accepted. Estimated date of Substantial Completion is October 20, 2023. Directions to site: From the I-79 and I-68 split; take EXIT 4 and continue on WV-7/Earl Core Road towards Sabraton. Follow Earl Core Road for 0.8 mile. Turn Left on to Green Bag Road and follow for 0.2 mile. Fork Right to follow Deckers Creek Blvd. for 0.3 mile. Turn Left onto White Ave, cross bridge and take immediate Right onto East Brockway Ave. The meeting location is by the tennis courts and old baseball field. Approximate coordinates are (39.629364, -79.935616) The purpose of the project is to reduce sedimentation and stabilize a stretch of the Deckers Creek Streambank. Restoration and stabilization measures includes permanent instream structures, streambank stabilization, streambank plantings and streambed recontouring.
