Description | Per addendum 1 bid date extended to 1/5/23 In accordance with the provisions of Connecticut General Statutes (CGS) Section 10-291 as amended; The Town of Windsor solicits proposals from CONNECTICUT LICENSED CONTRACTORS FOR HVAC Mechanical Upgrades to LP WILSON COMMUNITY CENTER located at 599 601 Matianuck Avenue Windsor, CT. 06095. The selected CONTRACTOR will as per project drawings and specifications; perform all; demolition / install / replace all HVAC equipment; VRF systems, DOAS systems, RTU's, Cabinet Wall unit heaters, ex fans, FTR. DDC Controls as noted on drawings and project specification book are to be Autologic --- No Substitutes. Windsor Will Be Responsible for and Arrange All Hazmat Testing, Air Sampling, and Removal Thereof. Do Not Include Any Hazmat Costs in Your Lump Sum Bid Pricing. BID AND SUBMITTAL CONDITIONS: THE BIDS SHALL INCLUDE: 1. Bidders will submit four sets of their sealed bid with enclosed BID FORM. 2. Astatement of staff availability and their experience and background. 3. A projected time schedule of the work. It is expected that the Phase one work will start June 2023. This project will be divided into two phases; Phase One is the north side of building which consists of Board of Education offices. Phase two is the south side of building and is occupied by various town departments. Phase One construction is expected to start in June 2024. Each phase is expected to be completed in less than 365 days. Optional second shift work and weekends are available. 4. All departments staff effected by project construction will be coordinated with town project management staff and awarded Contractor. Coordination to eliminate staff inconveniences, noise, dust, and for safety of town staff and Contractors employees. 5. A list of all subs contractor will use on this project to be included in submitted bid. 6. Performance and Payment Bond: A performance and payment bond in the full amount of the Contract is required from awarded bidder, and shall be included in the bid price. AIA Document A311 or comparable legal bond form shall be used as the form for the bond, except that such bond must be consistent with Supplementary Instruction to Bidders. 7. Bid Security: Bid security payable to the Town of Windsor is required in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid proposal, and shall be in the form of a certified check or Bid Bond. Bid Bonds must be AIA Document A310 or comparable legal bond form, issued by a Surety Company licensed in Connecticut. Signed Non-Collusion form by officer must be with bid to be considered. 8. State of Connecticut Prevailing Wages apply to this project. 9. All bidders questions are to be emailed to the architect, who will release timely addenda's. Last day to submit questions is December 27, 2022. Architect information will be provided at the mandatory walkthrough. 10.
