Description

Bids must be sealed and endorsed on the outside of the envelope with the name of the bidder and the project bid upon. Bids received after the scheduled bid opening date and time will neither be read nor considered. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 60 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. Question Deadline 03/17/2023 All questions about the true meaning or intent of the bidding documents are to be directed to the Ottawa County Engineers Office no later than 5 business days prior to the bid opening, via fax or E-mail. The fax number for submission is (419) 734-6768 and the E-Mail address is Ottawacoeng@.co.Ottawa.oh.us. PROJECT DATES: START DATE: The award for this project is expected to be in July. Work may not commence until after the award and all contract documents are complete. Contractor shall check the proposal and notes for additional restrictions in relation to the start date of this project. DATE OF COMPLETION. May 17, 2024 Questions regarding this project should be submitted on the form in the bid package and emailed to the Engineer's Office at OttawaCoEng@co.ottawa.oh.us. No proposal will be considered unless it is made on the blanks furnished by the County. No bidder shall take any exception to any requirement of the specifications. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed no later than May 17, 2024. All contractors and subcontractors involved with this project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty and must meet all requirements of Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code and the Instructions to Bidders. All work shall be carried out in compliance with all federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations that apply to the work. Any project specification item in conflict with a federal, state, or local law, rule or regulation, shall be void. This project falls under the State of Ohio Prevailing Wage requirements. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive any irregularities in a bid, or to accept that bid which in the judgment of proper officials is to the best interest of the County. The Board also reserves the right to delay the award of this project until July as per O.R.C. Section 153.12A
