Description

Project is comprised of: All Labor and Materials required to perform the OSP Construction of a Middle Mile Fiber Optic Broadband Network as per the design provided in the Request for Sealed Bid Document package. Any person requiring special accommodations shall notify the Tangipahoa Parish Government of the type of accommodations required not less than seven days before bid opening. Sealed Bids, amendments to Sealed Bids, or requests for withdrawal of Sealed Bids received after the time specified for Sealed Bid openings shall not be considered for any cause whatsoever. Bidders or their authorized representative are invited to be present. No other information or tabulations will be available until awards are made after all bids are fully checked for responsiveness and accuracy. The Sealed Bid Price shall be firm for a period of at least thirty (30) days from the opening of bids, and no Sealed Bid can be withdrawn for any reason during this period of time. BIDDERS must submit bids in a sealed envelope and must show sufficient reference on the outside of the sealed envelope to identify bids including, PROJECT NAME and BID OPENING DATE and Contractor's License. Each Sealed Bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check or cashier's check equivalent to 5% of the total bid as evidence of good faith of the bidder as prescribed by LA RS 38:2218.A. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable on the US Department of the Treasury Circular 570. Prospective Bidders wishing to participate remotely, via telephone, or computer, may request the remote connection meeting telephone number and web link information by emailing a request to the Tangipahoa Parish Government's Purchasing Agent, Donna Domiano, at ddomiano@tangipahoa.org. Only Bidders attending in person, or via remote access, will be considered Authorized Bidders. Project completion/delivery time: 24 calendar weeks If applicable, the attention of bidders is called particularly to the requirements for conditions of employment, equal opportunity, DBE outreach and Davis-Bacon regulations for minimum wage rates and work hours (if applicable) to be paid under the contract, along with all applicable laws and regulations of the federal government and State of Louisiana, bonding, and insurance requirements. In accordance with bid law LA RS 38:2212 (C)(2)(a), the right to reject any or all bids, and to waiver any informalities is reserved.
