Description

This solicitation is being posted to this website for notification purposes only. Questions posted here will not be answered. The City of Norwalk, CT is seeking to engage a Consulting Engineering firm to provide engineering services for the preparation of contract plans and documents for the following transportation project. The requirements of this project are outlined in greater detail under Section 2 Scope of Work/Project Specifications. This project will consist of: a) replacing and/or upgrading two traffic signals on Route 1. This works consists of full signal replacement, controller upgrades, fiber optic communications for signal interconnect, emergency pre-emption, video detection, and associated intersection improvements. b) adding the transit signal priority (TSP) to 51 traffic signals including Route 1 (14 signals), East Avenue (5 signals), MLK (7 signals), South Main Street (3 signals), North Main Street (3 signals), Water Street (2 signals), Fort Point Street (2 signals), West Avenue, (12 signals), Rout 136 (2 signals), and North Water Street (1signals) c) adding concurrent pedestrian phase with LPI to 34 traffic signals including Route 1 (14 signals), East Avenue (3 signals), MLK, (7 signals), South Main Street (3 signals), North Main Street (3 signals), Water Street (2 signals), Fort Point Street (2 signals), d) extending the adaptive traffic control system (ATCS) on 19 traffic signals including Route 1 (12 signals), East Avenue (3 signals), MLK, (2 signals), and South Main Street (2 signals)
