Description | The City of Aurora Intends to Purchase a Complete and Fully Functional Ultraviolet Light Disinfection System for the Aurora Central Wwtp. While the System Continues to Function in an Acceptable Manner, Spare Parts Are No Longer Readily Available. Given Its Age, the System is Recognized as Being at the End of Its Useful Life. All Bidders Must Submit Product Details to Mccoys@auroraoh.com of the Proposed Ultraviolet Light Disinfection Equipment by Tuesday, October 17th. More Details Are Available . If Any Person Contemplating Submitting a Bid for the Proposed Program/project is in Doubt as to the Meaning of Any Part of the Contract Documents, They May Submit Through Written Request for Interpretation Thereof. For Any Further Information, Please Contact Samantha Mccoy at 330.995.9116 or Mccoys@auroraoh.com. In the Case of Disruption of National Communications or Loss of Services by Within Two Hours Prior to the Deadline for Submission of Bids, the City Will Delay the Deadline for Bid Submissions to Ensure the Ability of Potential Bidders to Submit Bids. If This Occurs, Instructions Will Be Communicated to Potential Bidders. The City Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids, Waive Any Informalities or Irregularities in the Bids Received, and Accept Any Bid Which It Deems Most Favorable to the City. The equipment supplier shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and appurtenances required to provide an open channel, gravity flow, low pressure high intensity ultraviolet lamp (UV) treatment system complete with an automatic mechanical/chemical cleaning system and variable output electronic ballasts. The UV system to be complete and operational with all control equipment and accessories as shown and specified herein. This system will be capable of disinfecting final effluent to meet the water quality standards listed in this section. Specifications are based off the UV3000Plus TM System, as manufactured by Trojan Technologies, but the City of Aurora will consider alternate equipment if all requirements of this specification are met. ALL bidders must submit product details to mccoys@auroraoh.com of the proposed UV system by Tuesday, October 17th. The city will review the proposed equivalent equipment before October 24th allowing time for the manufacturer to submit a formal bid, if alternate equipment is approved. If additional review time is necessary, the city reserves the right to extend the bid deadline. The city also reserves the right to request any information pertaining to the bidder/manufacturer such as related experience, etc. |
