Transmission Pole Change

Removal and installation of approximately (6) new steel transmission poles. This project is located in two areas around the City of Rocky Mount. First location is along Smokey Road between Wesleyan Blvd and Airport Road in Rocky Mount NC. The second location in located at the end of Proctor Street in Rocky Mount NC. 1. Installation of (6) 70 to 80-foot steel transmission poles. 2. Removal of (6) existing 70 to 80-foot wood transmission poles. Poles that have complex communication attachments should be topped no more than 12 inches above the highest communication wire. 3. The Company awarded the contact shall be responsible for transferring all de-energized transmission primary conduct, static wire, guying and installation of new anchoring as needed for this project. 4. The Company awarded the contact shall be responsible for transferring all energized distribution primary, neutral conduct, guying, anchoring, transformers, secondary and lights as needed for this project. 5. The Company awarded the contact shall be responsible for transferring all communication wiring that's not deemed complex by Energy Resources representative without additional cost. Cost should be included in the price per pole change out. 6. The Company awarded the contact shall be responsible for all traffic control along Smokey road. Any and all road/lane closing should be approved by the City of Rocky Mount.
