Description | Project Category Code: Buildings and Grounds/Educational Facilities Description: OUTLINE OF PROJECT. Project consists of remodeling of existing kitchen in the High School Home Economics Classroom. The project includes modifications to existing cabinets, flooring and ceilings. New Type I grease hood with Anusl fire protection system, Type I grease duct and exhaust fan, reinstall two sinks, relocate dishwasher, LP piping, relocate fire sprinkler heads, electrical modifications. TYPE OF BIDS. This project will be bid as a single, general contract on all portions of the work. The successful bidder will be the (only) prime Contractor for the Project. Bids received after the designated time will not be accepted. All interested parties are invited to attend the bid opening. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud. Each bidder is responsible for ensuring their bid is in the hands of the Owner prior to the time of the bid opening. BID SECURITY. Each bid shall be accompanied by a separate envelope containing a bidder's surety bond in a sum equal to five percent of the full amount of the bid, including all alternates, executed by the bidder as principal and by a surety company authorized to do business in this State, conditioned that if the principal's bid is accepted and the contract awarded to the principal, the principal, within ten days after notice of award, will execute the Contract Documents in accordance with the terms of the principal's bid. Failure to include an appropriate bidder's bond may result in rejection of the bid. Cash, cashiers or personal checks are not acceptable. See Instructions to Bidders 00 1000, Art. 7. NORTH DAKOTA LAW. All bidders must be licensed for the highest amount of their bids. Each bid must include a copy of the bidder's North Dakota contractor's license in a separate envelope. Failure to include a copy of the appropriate contractor's license may result in the rejection of the bid. THE OWNER reserves the right to waive irregularities, to reject bids, to hold all bids for a period of 30 days after the bid-opening date, and to reject all bids and rebid the Project. If the Owner awards a contract, the Owner shall award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder. The successful bidder and Owner must enter into a written contract consisting of the Contract Documents (including the modified AIA documents included in the Project Documents along with the Drawings and Specification). As provided in the Contract Documents, the successful bidder shall furnish payment and performance bonds. |
