| Description | Scope of Work: Provide inspection and testing of approximately 137 lifts to meet applicable ANSI and OSHA codes (most current edition) on the overhead patient lift system. The system is located at the VA Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, PA building #1, and the Community Living Center (bldg#27). Below is a non-inclusive list of services the contractor shall provide during the site visit(s). Service to be completed once per year and shall be in accordance with manufacturer’s recommended guidelines. A certified record of lift inspection shall be provided to VA Medical Center Safety Office. Overhead Lifts: - Maximum load testing of lift at manufacturer’s specifications - Inspection of overhead rail connections (below ceiling) - Diagnostic inspection & testing of electrical parts - Inspection of moving parts - Inspection of safety devices (lowering mechanisms, lift strap wear, sling bar safety latches) - Inspection of rail end caps - Inspection of sling bar function - Check battery charger function and life cycle - Wipe clean the interior of lift rails. |
