You are hereby invited to submit a sealed bid (or at the Bidder's option, electronically submitted Bids) for "Early Childhood Center Renovation at Mason Elementary School (ESSER)". Single stipulated sum bids will be received for all work required by the Contract Documents in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Instructions to Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of Contract, Form of Contract Bond, Drawings, Specifications, and other Contract Documents may be examined. All proposals must be sealed and clearly marked on the outside of the envelope as indicated "Early Childhood Center Renovation at Mason Elementary School (ESSER)" to be opened on {insert bid date here}. Envelopes not so marked are submitted at the risk of the Bidder and the School District assumes no responsibility for the premature opening of same by any School District employee. At the Bidder's option, in lieu of submitting a physical sealed Bid, electronic bids may be submitted at website. Bids shall be received electronically until the date/time as stated above. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all bids. Bidders shall comply with law of the State of Mississippi requiring Certificate of Responsibility. Resident contractors shall, in accordance with laws of the State of Mississippi, be granted preference over non-residents in the award of this contract in the same manner and to the same extent as provided by the laws of the state of domicile of the non-resident. A non-resident contractor shall attach to his proposal a copy of his resident state's current law pertaining to such state's treatment of non-resident contractors. The successful bidder must adhere to the Owner's policy concerning non-discrimination without regard to race, creed, color, age, sex, national origin, or handicap. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Work indicated on the Drawings, includes but is not limited to the following: 1. Scope of work includes minor repair and renovation to existing school building for the use of an early childhood and after school/parent center. Repairs and renovations include but is not limited to renovating entries to be ADA accessible, painting walls and ceilings throughout facility to remove mold and water stains, replacing missing ceiling tiles, adding minor gypsum board/metal stud walls, removing minor wall partitions to create entry/exit corridors, adding downspouts to existing gutters, removing unused mechanical window units and infilling window, and other minor repair and renovation work as indicated on drawings. B. All accessories or incidental items not specifically shown and detailed in the specifications herein, which are necessary and/or required to complete the work within the intent of the specifications, shall be included by the Contractor without additional cost to the Owner Question Deadline 07/31/2023 at 5:00 PM CT
