Description

The selected Commissioning Agent (“CxA”), as a portion of its required Scope of Services and prior to submitting its proposals, will discuss and clarify with the Owner and/or the Contracting Authority, the cost breakdown of the Consultant Agreement detailed cost components to address the Owner’s project requirements. Participate in the Encouraging Growth, Diversity & Equity (“EDGE”) Program as required by statute and the Agreement. Ohio University began a multi-phase strategy to renew the existing Clippinger Laboratories facility in 2018. The facility was constructed in 1967, and encompasses 189,000 GSF. It has served the function of consolidating science programs across the campus. Since its construction there has been minimal investment made in the facility to address deferred maintenance and programmatic improvements. The project will be completed in 3 phases. The first project related to these improvements is currently under construction (Phase 1 - New Chemistry Building Floors 1 and 2). The second phase of construction will be the fit-out of research laboratories and office space in the third floor of the new chemistry building (PH2A) as well as the renovation of the east half of Clippinger Laboratories (PH2B). The third phase of construction will be the renovation of the west half of Clippinger Laboratories.
