Demolition and Disposal of Two Buildings at Kent AG Center

* The scope of this project involves the demolition and disposal of selected structural components above the building foundation and slab floor, including all materials within the two buildings. Sections of each building are to be removed to the top of floor slab. The roofing on sections of the buildings with exterior walls to remain in-place shall be removed down to the rafter sill plate. A sketch of the buildings is attached showing the approximate areas of demolition on each building. * Walls to be salvaged shall be protected from damaged. If a portion of a wall is to remain, the wall shall be saw cut to allow removal of the unwanted section. All utility lines running into the two buildings shall be protected. The electrical room on the main office shall be protected. * The walls to be demolished shall be removed in their entirety down to the floor slab. The building foundations and floor slabs are to remain with the intent for use in a new structure. The floors are to be protected from damage during demolition activities. All costs involved with the removal and disposal of the demolition debris shall be the responsibility of the successful bidder. * The successful bidder shall be responsible for meeting with owner prior to demolition to determine all areas of demolition and areas to be protected for re-building. * The contractor shall be responsible for disposing of the debris in accordance with all state and local regulations. Tipping fees for disposal of the debris shall be the responsibility of the contractor and shall be included in the bid price.
