Fire Alarm & Emergency Voice Evacuation Systems

The intent of this project is to completely remove the existing Fire Alarm System and provide and install a new ADA compliant, design/build addressable fire alarm system. The indicating portion will be Emergency Voice Alarm Communication System. (EVAC) The system shall include: 1) New fire alarm control panel; Notifier or Simplex 2) New initiating & indicating devices (only required smoke detectors will be incorporated in the system design; all non-required smoke detectors will be demolished under the terms on this specification); 3) Elevator recall smoke detection, heat detection, and control & monitor modules as required by the elevator code; 4) New duct detectors & control modules for AHU shutdown; 5) Monitor modules with visible LED’s for sprinkler tamper & flow switches. 6) Remote microphone with annunciator at the main entrance As specifically described by this Section, the Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and supplies required to perform all operations necessary for completing the design, construction, installation and testing of a new addressable building fire alarm system. The Contractor shall provide all designs, electrical engineering calculations, drafting, drawings, specifications, meetings, coordination, submissions, correspondence, as well as furnishing and installing a complete fire alarm system in accordance with the requirements specified herein.
