Proposed Site Improvements at the Milestone Dog Park

As of December 06, 2022, bids received were rejected as they were over the budget. Project will rebid spring of 2023. Sandwich Park District is accepting sealed bids for the proposed site improvements at the Milestone Dog Park located at the northeast corner of Fairwind Boulevard & Pleasant Avenue in Sandwich, Illinois. Work includes removal and replacement of concrete sidewalk, general excavation and grading of the site, installation of water service & drinking fountain, installation of proposed asphalt parking area, parking bumpers, striping & signage, concrete paths and building pads, brick memorial area, installation of topsoil and seeding disturbed areas and 4' chain link fence and gates. Areas of work are detailed in the Civil Site Plans prepared by Tebrugge Engineering, 410 E. Church St, Sandwich, IL, 815-786-0195. All work shall be completed by May 31, 2023. Performance Bond Requirements The contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond for the full amount of the Contract. Such Bond shall be in force from the date of signing of the Contract until one (1) year after issuing of final Certificate for Payment. The cost thereof shall be included in the Contract Sum. The amount of each bond shall be equal to 100 percent of the Contract Sum. The bond surety must carry a BEST RATING of A. Insurance The Contractor shall maintain, at its own expense, the following insurance coverages, insuring the Contractor, its employees, agents, and designees. The Owner and the Engineer shall be named as additional insured on the comprehensive general liability and umbrella liability insurance policies. All property damage liability insurance must be on a replacement coverage basis and also include actual expenses incurred on the loss of use of any such tangible personal property. The insurance shall be placed with insurance companies rated at least A by Best's Key Rating guide or with other insurance companies acceptable by the Owner at least thirty (30) days prior to the cancellation, nonrenewal, or reduction in limits of liability by endorsement, change in deductible per claim, or change in limits of exclusion of any such policies. Sandwich Park District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive or not to waive any informalities therein or to accept the proposal considered to be in the best interest of the sandwich Park District.
