Description

Project consists of the grading and drainage improvements inside the Glide Slope Critical Area east of Runway 24 at Birmingham Shuttlesworth International Airport in Birmingham, AL. The scope of work generally includes the installation of approximately 35,000 CYD of borrow material to fill in existing drainage swales, removal of existing stone rip rap and concrete ditch pavement, installation of Class V round drainage pipes, installation of new drainage structures including a large cast-in-place junction structure, general smoothing of grades inside the Glide Slope Critical Area, installation of topsoil and seeding in areas disturbed by grading, and all associated erosion and sedimentation control measures.
