Description The Hotz Avenue Outfall Construction project consists of drainage improvements and repaving of Hotz Avenue in Santa Rosa Beach, just west of Grayton Beach State Park, in Walton County. Hotz Avenue is an east/west roadway, approximately three blocks long, with angled parking on either side in some locations. Condos, cottages, restaurants, and businesses line the street. Repaving the road will allow for the proposed inverted crown design with ditch bottom inlets and 24"x38" ERCP trunk line to be constructed to facilitate positive outfall to Western Lake. A Hydrodynamic Separator will be installed at the end of the trunk line to provide water quality improvement at the discharge point. A portion of the existing 18" outfall will be removed by the contractor, but a portion will remain to drain a small area south of the roadway.
