Description

Question Deadline 09/29/2022 at 10:00 AM ET Questions or comments regarding this solicitation document or the process shall be forwarded, in writing, to Mr. Jeffrey S. Knotts, Director of Procurement, and Mrs. Tonya Stroud, Senior Buyer, 2 Space Drive, Taylors, South Carolina 29687. Email addresses are: jknotts@greenville.k12.sc.us and tstroud@greenville.k12.sc.us. This program is to be completed in accordance with all terms, conditions, and specifications contained or referenced in this solicitation. The Scope of Work / Program Specifications section should be consulted for a complete detailed description of the work / services to be perform. Demolish and dispose of forty-four (44) existing portable classrooms currently stored at the East Gantt Elementary School location. Owner will identify the units to be removed prior to commencement of work. Below is quantity and size information for portables to be removed: 1. 43 portable classroom units at 24 x 36 each 2. 1 portable classroom unit at 24 x 60 Note: Portable classroom units are in a state of storage and are not connected to utilities. The School District of Greenville County (SDGC) invites responsible firms to submit a SEALED BID to perform hazardous material abatement, building demolition and removal of all building debris and site stabilization at the following locations: East Gantt Elementary School, 400 Fork Shoal Road, Greenville, SC 29605 Wade Hampton Elementary School, 200 Waddell Road, Taylors, SC 29687 Old Southside High School Gymnasium (located on MT Anderson Campus), 100 Blassingame Road, Greenville, SC 29605 This solicitation does not commit the District to award a contract, to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of the response to this solicitation or to procure any goods or services. The contractor will adhere to a strict project schedule, which stipulates work will begin pending an award and issuance of purchase order, and will be completed no later than January 13, 2023. The successful contractor may work evenings and weekends with at least a 24-hour notice and approval from the Project Manager for SDGC. After hours work must be coordinated for security guard assistance. Security guard cost will be handled by SDGC. If the Total Base Bid amount exceeds fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00), bidders shall submit Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid. The Bid Security must be in the form of a Bid Bond or Cashiers Check payable to The School District of Greenville County. No personal checks, company checks or cash will be accepted. Bid Security shall be submitted with the bid or the bid may be considered nonresponsive and not subject to an award. If the total amount of the awarded project exceeds fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00), prior to work commencing, the successful Prime Contractor shall provide the SDGC Facilities Department Project Manager with Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, each in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the awarded contract cost. Vendors are cautioned that the evaluators are not required to request a clarification of the bid; therefore, all offers should be complete and reflect the most favorable terms to the District. The District reserves the right to reject any and all offers when such rejection is deemed to be in the best interest of the District.
