Description | Project includes the repair and resurfacing of 10 courts and approximately 4,000 linear feet of court surfaces that need crack repair. 1. Clean the surfaces of all dust, dirt, debris and loose material by pressure washing, blowing, scrapping, etc. 2. Flood courts and allow to drain. Mark bird baths. 3. Patch and fill cracks and bird baths with court patch binder or crack filler as needed. Grind and sand until smooth surface is achieved. 4. Repair cracks using the ARMOR Crack Repair System or equivalent method of repairing cracks in specified areas of the courts. 5. Crack repair must accompany a 3 year or greater warranty that cracks will not appear in the areas with areas treated with the ARMOR Crack Repair System or equivalent method. 6. Apply acrylic resurfacer over all patched areas. 7. Apply 1 coat of textured acrylic resurfacer over the entire court. 8. Apply 2 coats of texture color coats over entire court. Allow at least 24 hours between coat applications. 9. Apply textured white lines per USTA specification for tennis. 10. Speed of courts should be Medium Fast. 11. Clean up and haul off any work related materials. 12. Playing area coat color and border color will be determined with the department and awarded contractor. Pricing should include two different colors from either the standard colors or premium colors. Provide list of standard colors and any premium colors with costs associated with the premium. Provide material lead time in Section 7. 13. Materials must be Sport Master or functionally equivalent. 14. Water and electric available upon request. 15. Unless specified otherwise, all work is to be done in accordance to American Sports Builders Association (ASBA) specifications. 16. Resurfacing Warranty: the resurfacing must be guaranteed for at least one year against, peeling, chalking, or bonding failures. |
