24th Street Water Main Improvements

The City of Carnation requests sealed bid proposals for construction of the 24th ST Water Main Improvements, This project includes other project and work elements listed below. The project shall include the 24th ST Water Main Improvements and all other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. 24th ST Water Main Improvements: Installation of a new 1.4" HDPE water main. underneath Lotouis Creek using trenchless installation methods and abandonment of the parallel section of existing water main. Restoration of two existing residential water service lines along the south side of NE 24th ST Inquiries regarding the project may be directed to Jorge Garcia, P.E., Project. Manager at jorgar-cia@HNTB.com Time :for project completed shall be in accordance with Section 1-08.5 of the Standard Specifications and as amended by the Special Provisions. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the contract documents, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Carnation. No bidder may withdraw their bid proposal after the time fixed for opening thereof, or before award of contract., unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding thirty (30) days. The City of Carnation reserves the right to reject. any or all bids, and to waive minor irregularities in the bidding process. The City of Carnation reserves the right to award this contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder based on the Bid Proposal. In determining the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, consideration will he given to the criteria listed in Section 1-03 and RCW 39,04. The Contractor will be required to comply with all local, State, and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to equal employment opportunities.
