Description

Calverton Channel Rehabilitation is the removal of over 2,600 linear feet of legacy trapezoidal concrete channel and return of the conveyed waterway to its natural stream state. All removed concrete from channel must be disposed off-site. Site has very limited site access. Project will require riparian buffer and wetland native plant installations with invasive plant removal and plant establishment period. The project will involve complex water diversion, tree preservation, native planting and establishment, significant cut and fill, in stream concrete construction, and stream restoration techniques (coir matting revetments,riffle/weir structures, etc.).
