Description

Renovation and upgrade of interiors at the Kay Martin building located on the Reno Campus. Final questions due no later than 12 noon, Thursday, January 26th, 2023. Include painting the south wall of the 2nd floor corridor corner to corner. Prep and paint all walls, ceilings, furr downs, stairs, door frames, railings, exposed structures, conduit, Unistrut, etc. Provide paint for all unfinished items supplied by others. Fire taping at rated walls. Provide touchup and repair at the completion of all other construction activities. Provide protection of adjacent surface during this work. Provide stenciling on walls above ceiling to indicate fire and/or smoke partition per contract documents. Scrape and remove excess drywall joint compound from floors. Area to be exposed concrete shall have temporary protection installed to prevent joint compound from dropping to the floor. Do not paint over fire rated labels or labels required to be exposed by the AHJ. Repair walls and ceilings at locations where demolition has occurred to make like new per the construction documents. Refer to the Demotion plans. Scaffolding as required. Furnish and install all metal stud framing for walls, ceilings, furr downs, parapets, etc, including all bracing, kickers, etc. Furnish and install joint sealants, acoustical sealants, fire sealants and fire-safing required to complete this scope of work. Provide and install all control joints, reveals, edge trim and corner bead. Repair walls and ceilings at locations where demolition has occurred to make like new per the construction documents. Blocking including back-up plywood. Scaffolding as required. Install hollow metal door frames. Door frames provided by others. Where indicated on the drawings for existing grid ceiling to remain and install new ceiling tile only, the Metal Stud Framing, Drywall and Ceilings subcontractor will remove the old ceiling tile and replace with new tile. Place the old ceiling tile in the Construction Manger's large dumpster that will be located outside the building. Demolition: tile removal, sheetrock removal/replacement, patching at light fixture removal, millwork, ceiling, furr downs, etc. Resilient flooring, terrazzo, resinous, cementitious and tile subcontractor to include cost for remediation or flooring manufacturer's recommended adhesive to overcome maximum vapor emission, relative humidity, and alkalinity (ph) limits. Assume maximum RH Prob Test reading per ASTM-F-2170. Adjust electrical outlets at fountains as needed to coordinate with the newly installed wall tile. Remove security cameras and turnover to TSCOTT. Coordinate with the Drywall Subcontractor to cut sheetrock for new recessed lighting at the walls and soffits. Store materials and equipment indicated to be removed and reused as needed. Complete Fire Alarm System. Maintain temporary lighting for construction activities. Final connections to equipment provided by others. Core drilling and saw cutting as required. Fire-stopping for penetrations through rated walls, floors and ceilings. Unloading/hoisting and storage of materials. Coordinate work with all trades. Demolition and replacement of existing concrete floor for any/all underfloor electrical modifications, if required. Concrete equipment pads as required for both interior and exterior applications.
