Asphalt Concrete Paving

Provide labor, equipment and material as specified to provide asphalt concrete paving and associated road work. This shall include both mainline and shoulder paving. This work consists of constructing one or multiple courses of hot mix asphalt bituminous concrete on a base to be prepared by others and in substantial conformance with lines, grades, thickness and typical cross-sections shown on the plans or established by the Engineer. The work shall include: rehabilitation of existing drainage structures / manholes, installing new 4” thick, fiber reinforced concrete sidewalk in a new location or repair of an existing sidewalk, furnishing and installing Embedded Detectable Warning units, furnishing and installing new granite curb, resetting existing curb, cold milling of bituminous pavement, cleaning and preparation of surfaces, (including minor trimming and reshaping of existing shoulders), tack coat, applying asphalt joint adhesive, paving, placing of reflectorized pavement markings and shoulder back-up. Tack coat and asphalt pavement joint adhesive to be applied as ordered by the Engineer.
