Maury County Purchasing Department is currently accepting sealed bids from licensed and qualified general contractors interested in bidding Santa Fe Unit School Auxiliary Gymnasium Addition . project description: a new practice gymnasium with ancilary spaces for strength traning, baseball practice, and support spaces such as restrooms and locker rooms to be built direclty adjacent to the existing main gymnasium at santa fe unit school (k thru 12) in santa fe, maury co., tn. In the event MCPS must reschedule a bid opening date or time, the specifications obtained from the Maury County Purchasing Dept. shall reflect the actual date and time. Once the sealed bid envelope is submitted to Maury County the Purchasing Department will stamp the face of the envelope to authenticate the actual date and time it is received. Bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid. A Payment, Performance, Labor and Materials (PPLM) Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract sum, issued by a bonding company licensed to do business in the state of Tennessee and acceptable to the Owner. Bond is required of the successful bidder to guarantee faithful performance of work under the contract MCPS bids are ultimately subject to funding. Furthermore, MCPS reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids that are not in the best interest of MCPS Scope- Work includes construction of a 2-story, 12,000 square foot free-standing gymnasium adjacent to the existing school gymnasium. The building will be constructed of brick and metal panel on CMU, with a partial steel frame, pre-cast hollow core plank elevated floor, and steel bar joists for roof support. The building will have hollow metal doors and windows, as well as semi-translucent wall panel system windows. The building will include gang restrooms for both boys and girls, and will also have locker rooms, weight room, and baseball practice rooms in the lower level.
